This 3-day (24-hour) course is specifically designed for Law Enforcement Officers, City Planners, City Managers, City Council Members, Architects, Security Consultants, Educators or anyone involved in designing neighborhoods, schools, downtowns, buildings, or revitalization efforts. It is an effective way of fighting crime and promoting business. This Advanced CPTED course is designed to instruct students on the more complex issues of environmental design as they relate to topics such as: terrorism, lighting technology, human behavior, traffic calming, schools, ordinance writing and the creation of security guidelines. Extensive use will be made of practical exercises in the class in which the students will actually get to apply these principles to a variety of parks and housing complexes.
